Washington, DC — March 2026 — DC Senate, Washington DC’s only ABA semi-professional basketball team, proudly announces its championship victory in the FAMILYA DC Asian Winter League 2026, capping off a dominant season with an outstanding individual performance that earned one of its players the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

Held from January 11 through March 15, 2026, the FAMILYA DC Asian Winter League brought together top basketball talent from across the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) region. Games were hosted at premier venues including Kennedy High School, Wheaton High School, and Paint Branch High School, showcasing a highly competitive and community-driven basketball environment.

DC Senate competed in the league’s OPEN division, demonstrating elite performance throughout the season. With eight guaranteed games and a full playoff structure, the team consistently proved its strength, discipline, and depth on the court—ultimately securing the championship title.

A standout moment of the season came as a DC Senate player was named League MVP, recognizing exceptional skill, leadership, and impact throughout the competition.
